Pay rate $27.50 per hour - Benefit eligible

Performs intermediate skilled administrative support work collecting student attendance, academic and behavior data, making referrals to appropriate personnel, attending relevant meetings, facilitating and coordinating student case communication, and related work as apparent or assigned.  Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Assistant Superintendent.
 

Qualification Requirements

Essential Functions

Works with individual students who have been identified as homeless and their guardians to improve student success.
Regularly tracks levels of assigned students'' success.
Facilitates communication and proactive problem solving at the student level and between home and school.
Assists students in accessing academic tutoring.
Connects families to resources to prevent chronic absenteeism.
Collaborates with social workers.
Supports attendance teams as needed.
Conducts focus groups in secondary schools.
Collects and reports quarterly progress.
Attends relevant meetings for assigned student cases.
Consults with school team to monitor students'' response to intervention.
Collects, enters and communicates data related to student progress.
Participates in building problem solving teams.
Monitors assigned student attendance and progress in school.
Connects with assigned students and families.
 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Thorough skill operating standard office equipment and related hardware and software; ability to track and report student mental health, attendance, progress and well-being; ability to plan and coordinate workload; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, families, administrators and the general public.
 

Education and Experience

Bachelor''s degree in psychology, preferred, or related field and minimal experience working with individual students and their guardians to improve student success, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
 

Physical Requirements

This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force; work regularly requires sitting and speaking or hearing, frequently requires walking and occasionally requires standing, using hands to finger, handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, pushing or pulling and repetitive motions; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operating machines and observing general surroundings and activities; work has no exposure to environmental conditions; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
