HCP-Northrop is currently seeking a hard-working, passionate, social- justice-oriented leader to join our team as a Director of Operations with a preferred start date of November 15, 2017. Job Description The Director of Operations is responsible for setting a powerful vision for supporting student achievement through the management of campus operations. The Director of Operations will manage school technology platforms, volunteer coordination, state reporting, finances, and other daily operations for HCP-Northrop. We passionately believe that smooth and effective operations allow the instructional team to focus on our instructional and community centered program. As a member of the HCP-Northrop school leadership team, this role will work in constant collaboration with the school principal As a member of the Operations Team, this role will report to the Senior Director of Operations. Responsibilities: People Management and Development &#183; Manage the campus operations team &#183; Collect and analyze operational performance data to facilitate continuous improvement with operations staff &#183; Coach and develop the campus operations team &#183; Contribute actively and productively to the Campus Leadership Team &#183; Serve as a member of the Campus Leadership Team &#183; Collaborate on campus initiatives to facilitate a positive and productive organizational culture for students and staff Financial Management / Procurement &#183; Collaborate with Principal on the management of the campus budget &#183; Oversee all campus contracts and procurement systems (ex. transportation, food service etc.) &#183; Prepare all campus invoices and deposits &#183; Maintain accurate records of all campus purchases &#183; Manage inventory of campus supplies (ex. office, copier, uniforms) Compliance Reporting &#183; Coordinate the campus-based collection of statewide reporting data and entry into online systems and ensure accuracy &#183; Coordinate the submission of all required state and federal reports (MARSS, DIRS, CliCs, transportation, etc.) &#183; Coordinate additional compliance with other agencies (e.g. MDE, MDH, etc.) &#183; Ensure accurate school records are kept for all domains of operations Manage Food Service Program &#183; Oversee entire food service program (staff, vendor, finances, etc.) &#183; Oversee supervision of mealtimes and food Manage School Facilities &#183; Maintain a safe, attractive, and functional physical learning environment for students &#183; Oversee facilities maintenance systems (repairs, lawn care, snow removal, elevators, boilers, etc.) &#183; Manage facility security systems &#183; Maintain facility compliance with city and state regulations Manage and coordinate transportation &#183; Manage all transportation services for the campus &#183; Manage and coordinate school-wide arrival and dismissal systems &#183; Manage transportation vendor relationship and performance &#183; Manage route creation and communication with families Safety and Security &#183; Oversee all school-wide safety planning, training and drills as required by the State of Minnesota &#183; Manage and maintain school security systems, policies, and protocols Enrollment &#183; Sets the campus vision for enrollment in coordination with the leadership team and the Senior Director of Enrollment &#183; Oversees from beginning to end the processes for recruiting and enrolling students Manage School Technology and Data Platforms &#183; Manage IT support services and infrastructure &#183; Administer staff and student data platforms (e.g. Infinite Campus, Google, SharePoint, etc.) &#183; Prepare and lead quarterly data analysis and report card process with staff &#183; Implement new technologies and technology services as applicable Assessment Data Management and Analysis &#183; Serve as campus assessment coordinator for all assessments &#183; Manage assessment preparation, training, scheduling, and implementation &#183; Ensure timely submission of all assessment data to the Director of Data and Analytics Human Resources &#183; Complete new hire processing steps in collaboration with the Director of Human Resources &#183; Prepare all staff reimbursements for submission &#183; Manage campus timesheet processing and submission &#183; Manage PTO records systems Other &#183; Regular and reliable attendance on the school site &#183; Manage school wide event planning (ie. parent conferences, orientations, etc.) &#183; Manage systems related to campus volunteers and visitors &#183; Implement other projects as needed from the Senior Director of Operations and Principal The Director of Operations must demonstrate knowledge of and support Hiawatha Academies&#8217; mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior. Responsibilities: 

 

People Management and Development

·         Manage the campus operations team

·         Collect and analyze operational performance data to facilitate continuous improvement with operations staff

·         Coach and develop the campus operations team

·         Prepare all campus invoices and deposits

Hiawatha Employment Logistics

·         HCP-Northrop’s school day is from 8:00-4:45pm, Monday-Friday. (This schedule is likely to change upon school opening)
