Position: Administrative Assistant &#8211; (FTE 1.0) Location: Banaadir South 2526 27th Avenue South Mpls., MN 55406 POSITION: ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT / RECEPTIONIST&#8211; (FTE 1.0) REPORTS TO: DIRECTOR Description: Under the direction of the Director, performs a variety of clerical and support work involving both specific routines and broadly defined policies and procedures; greets and interacts with the public, works cooperatively with staff, students, and parents, and performs other related duties as assigned to maintain a safe, inviting, organized and efficient school operation. Job Summary: &#183; Maintain the office area in a neat and orderly fashion. &#183; Answer the School phone and direct calls as necessary. &#183; Welcome and interact with students, parents, staff, substitute teachers and the general public in a professional and courteous manner. &#183; Maintain confidential information with the highest degree of professionalism and discretion. &#183; Track, calculate and enter Student information/hours in Skyward in collaboration with school and district-wide MARSS reporting staff. &#183; Maintain all Student files and assist with all MARRS Reporting as required. &#183; Work with the Transportation Coordinator and with District Bus Coordinator and Bus company to address schedule changes and new student routes. &#183; Handle requests from other agencies and/or schools for student records and transcripts. &#183; Enter test scores, credit hours, absences and other student data as necessary. &#183; Manage the attendance policy including but not limited to: daily phone calls to parents, draft and mail truancy letters, work with students and families regarding arriving late and leaving early and other matters related to attendance. &#183; Generate and mail student report cards every three weeks. * Give information and interpretations of policies or procedures related to departmental or school activities. &#183; Demonstrate excellent judgment and decision making skills regarding responses for requests for information and determining whether additional consultation or records are appropriate &#183; Assist staff with preparing and sending a variety of confidential physical and electronic materials such as letters, reports, record requests etc. &#183; Maintain program and office supplies. &#183; Assist parents and students with problems and concerns when appropriate. &#183; Other job related duties as assigned.
