&#8203; Position Opening: College Prep Elementary is now accepting applications for a Full-time English Language Development Teacher for Elementary K-6, for 2018-19 school year. Qualifications: &#8226; Valid MN ESL K-12 Teaching License (required) &#8226; Experience working with Hmong and Karen populations (preferred, but not required) Position Description: The Full-time English Language Development (ELD) Teacher collaborates with the classroom teacher in the areas of planning for differentiation, delivering ELD instruction, in co-taught, whole class or small group instruction, including push in, pull out and/or intervention. Meeting with team members, communication with parents, and attending and participating in after school commitments such as conferences, school picnic, graduation, etc. is required. CPE Teacher duties&#8230; &#8226; Identify individual and collective learning needs of children &#8226; Plan and deliver instruction based on WiDA Standards, Minnesota Standards and student learning needs &#8226; Provide a stimulating learning environment in which each child can experience growth and develop to potential &#8226; Help students learn appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes &#8226; Use various assessment tools to evaluate and communicate student progress &#8226; Serve as role models for students &#8226; Maintain accurate, complete and confidential records as required by law, administrative regulations and district policy &#8226; Meet/communicate with classroom teachers regularly and parents as needed. &#8226; Attend evening meetings, events and activities as assigned &#8226; Meet with other professionals to discuss individual student needs and progress &#8226; Supervise extra-curricular and after-school activities when required &#8226; Attend meetings, seminars and professional development sessions &#8226; Serves as the first responder in a variety of situations such as minor scrapes, family emergencies or not being picked up as scheduled &#8226; Supervise in lunchroom, on playground, and at bus arrival and departure, as assigned About the School: CPE Mission Statement: College Prep Elementary (CPE) prepares scholars with a rigorous program that builds character and acceptance of the value of multiple cultures.
