Position Information:  

The Special Education Administrator/Assistant Director is responsible to promote high quality educational programming to meet the learning needs of students receiving services in special education across 5 member districts and Mid-State Education District Programs. This position is 225 day contract spread across 12 months, July 1 to June 30.

Will assist the Executive Director in providing leadership in the following areas:
-Curricular development
-Professional development
-Program development

The Special Education Administrator/Assistant Director will also support the supervision of programs and evaluation of licensed staff.

Position Requirements:
Must hold a valid Director of Special Education License, or Minnesota K-12 Principal License with the ablity to obtain Special Education Director Lisensure.
Must hold a valid Teaching license in Special Education or Related Services

Other Skills and Abilities:
Five+ years of successful teaching experience, with a minimum of three years of experience working with special education students/programs preferred.  Must have strong knowledge of instructional strategies, curriculum and best practices to support student growth.
