Strong classroom teacher with at least 5 years of experience. 2. Have in-depth knowledge of reading processes, acquisition, assessment, and instruction; 3. Have experience working with teachers to improve their practice; knowledge of adult learners; 4. Have knowledge in development of action plans and follow through using student data to assist teachers with instructional needs; 5. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing; 6. Be an excellent presenter and be familiar with presenting to teacher groups in the contexts of schools and at professional conferences at the local, state, and even national levels. Must also be skilled in leading teacher groups to facilitate reflection and change for their colleagues; 7. Have experience or preparation that enables them to master the complexities of observing and modeling in classrooms and providing feedback to teachers, and be able to develop trusting relationships with teachers in order to serve effectively in a coaching role. 8. Participate as an active member with other faculty and staff. 9. Lead Professional Development in the areas of Reading/Language Arts. 10. Participate as an active member with other faculty and staff. 11. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. Literacy Specialist 

Position Title: Literacy Strategist
