Responsible for the coordination of Head Start programming which includes: instructing pre-school children in a classroom setting, utilizing approved curriculum, providing parent education and family services, in addition to skill development in implementing school-readiness goals, child outcomes, and promoting parent, family, and community engagement. Duties and Responsibilities: &#8226; Manages site in its entirety and maintains compliance with federal performance standards and state licensing requirements &#8226; Responsible for the safety of all children through the compliance of Head Start policies and procedures &#8226; Manages individualized and quality care of children in a group setting &#8226; Plans, implements, and adapts designated curriculum &#8226; Manages all child screenings and on-going assessments &#8226; Manages and implements home visits, conferences, field trips, and transition meetings. &#8226; Responsible for timely documentation of all required program data &#8226; Participates in a team approach to meet child, family, and program requirements &#8226; Responsible for child and family outcomes as mandated by federal, state and local regulations Qualifications: Teacher 1--$18.04/hour &#8226; AA degree in Early Childhood Education from an accredited college &#8226; 1,040 hours experience as a teacher, aide, or student intern &#8226; Experience working with young children and families &#8226; Experience in curriculum development and adaptation &#8226; Possess current First Aid/CPR certificate or must be able to obtain &#8226; Ability to pass a background study &#8226; Able to lift 50 pounds and occasionally more; and able to kneel, bend, stoop, and sit on floor to attend to children&#8217;s needs Qualifications: Teacher 2--$19.23/hour &#8226; Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Early Childhood Education, with a preference for MN teaching license Birth to Grade 3, Pre-K, Pre-Primary, or ECSE &#8226; Experience working with young children and families &#8226; Experience in curriculum development and adaptation &#8226; Possess a valid driver&#8217;s license &#8226; Possess current First Aid/CPR certificate or must be able to obtain &#8226; Ability to pass a background study &#8226; Able to lift 50 pounds and occasionally more; and able to kneel, bend, stoop, and sit on floor to attend to children&#8217;s needs Needed Attributes: &#8226; Awareness of, sensitivity to, and ability to work effectively with young children and families from a variety of social, cultural, and economic backgrounds &#8226; Leadership and organizational skills &#8226; Communicates effectively, both verbally and in writing &#8226; Possess computer/technology skills Full-time, Monday-Friday, 36 hours/week, 35 weeks "Community Action ~ Helping People ~ Changing Lives"

·        Able to lift 50 pounds and occasionally more; and able to kneel, bend, stoop, and sit on floor to attend to children’s needs
