Position Opening: College Prep Elementary is now accepting applications for a Full-time, Title I Coordinator, for the 2018-2019 school year, to provide leadership that ensures compliance with federal regulations and who also promotes and delivers effective intervention programs to students. Qualifications: &#8226; Valid MN Elementary Teaching License which covers Grades K-6 core subjects (required) &#8226; Three or more years of elementary teaching experience (strongly preferred) &#8226; Two or more years of experience working with similar population (strongly preferred) &#8226; Experience with identifying, progress monitoring and providing direct intervention instruction to students (preferred) &#8226; Demonstrated success in raising the achievement levels of traditionally under-served students (preferred) &#8226; Excellent writing and other communication skills (required) Position Description: Complying with Title Programs &#8226; Oversee the Title I program priorities, activities, and plans with school Leadership to ensure program efficiency, accountability, and concordance with school targets and improvement plans &#8226; Reviews federal mandates, MDE regulations, and completes the required application of the Title I, Title II, and Title III Grants and amendments as necessary &#8226; Collect and archive all required Title I documentation and make available upon request &#8226; Assist in organizing and conducting parent involvement policies and programs that may include but are not limited to literacy, parenting, parent-child academic interactions, School-Parent Compacts and community activities. &#8226; Supports all efforts to provide opportunities for the community to be involved in student and school success Teaching &#8226; Support the school&#8217;s Title I program by offering content and instruction that ensures student achievement &#8226; Provide direct instruction to students in large or small group settings, providing push in or pull out services as needed &#8226; Support teachers in the classroom through direct instruction &#8226; Identify, progress monitor, and provide targeted interventions to students in Reading and Math &#8226; Support Intervention Block/RtI Collaborating &#8226; Collaborate with the executive director, principal and other school personnel to identify evaluate, and implement research-based curricular materials and instructional methods that support the required strategies of Title I and the required state and district academic standards in mathematics and English Language Arts &#8226; Attends and supports team meetings and data meetings as appropriate or requested Supervision and Leadership &#8226; Supervise general education/Title I paraprofessionals &#8226; Gathers and disseminates Title I information/resources to school staff &#8226; Presents to and educates parents, teachers and other stakeholders about Title I Programs at CPE Other &#8226; Willingness to fill in for other staff as needed &#8226; Attends area and/or state professional meetings and trainings upon approval &#8226; Member of the following CPE committees: ALIT, ACTION Team, Child Study Team &#8226; Act as Administrative Representative in Special Education meetings, such as IEP&#8217;s when needed &#8226; Administers the Pre-Kindergarten Screener in August and records the results &#8226; Administers DRA assessments to all new students in the fall &#8226; Other duties as assigned About the School: CPE Mission Statement: College Prep Elementary (CPE) prepares scholars with a rigorous program that builds character and acceptance of the value of multiple cultures.
