The Minnesota Department of Corrections has an opening for a Science Teacher located at the Minnesota Correctional Facility in Red Wing (MCF-RW), at Walter Maginnis High School. Position Title: Science Teacher (Special Teacher) Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:15 am - 3:45 pm Compensation: $23.16-$43.99 hourly / $48,358-$91,851 annually Job duties: Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Provide appropriate and effective direct instruction in assigned subject areas so that residents receive educational programming appropriate to their needs and skill levels. Perform all classroom administrative functions in a timely manner for accountability purposes. Evaluate educational services for individual residents so that they receive educational programming appropriate to their needs and skills levels. This position has direct contact with offender residents. Compensation for the successful candidate will be commensurate with the level of education attained and number of years of prior teaching experience approved at the time of hire. Minimum Qualifications: &#8226; Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college/university. AND &#8226; Possession of a current Minnesota Full Professional K-12 Minnesota teaching license in Science.
