The Minneota Public School District has a full-time opening for a 7-12 school counselor for the 2019-2020 school year. We are looking for an energetic, motivated person to join our team! It is important to note that this position does not include being the District Assessment Coordinator. Minneota is located in Southwest Minnesota, (approximately 10 miles west of Marshall) and is a Q Comp school district. Responsible for maintaining confidential records and providing transcripts when requested. 3. Responsible for all outside student referrals to appropriate agencies. 4. Conduct individual and small group counseling sessions. 5. Consult with teachers, parents and other outside agencies, when appropriate, to help facilitate an organized plan to best help students with their needs. 6. Coordinate the guidance program by providing resources and referral services for teachers and parents. 7. Member of the district&#8217;s crisis team and assist in organizing and maintaining the crisis team. 8. Responsible for assisting in the development of student schedules. 9. Responsible for helping create the high school master schedule. 10. Develop and maintain a public information program relating to student and parent responsibilities, needs, and activities. 11. The employee is responsible for being knowledgeable about all district policies. 12. This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive, and the employee will also perform other reasonable related business duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management.
