Our student population of 900 draws from St. Paul, nearby suburbs, and western Wisconsin communities. With an average class size of 23, Hill-Murray is committed to providing the individual attention needed to ensure that each student reaches his or her potential and that each student feels known, respected, and loved. Hill-Murray offers a diverse, challenging program of academic study that integrates a strong co-curricular offering along with the school’s Catholic charism. Beginning in middle school, we place our students on the path to college and work readiness, with a challenging, rigorous curriculum that is critical to our mission. Coursework is offered on a semester system, with a course load consisting of six to seven classes per semester. An Honors Level program, College In the Schools (CIS) and Advanced Placement courses are available for students who meet the academic criteria. In addition, the school recently made a $4M investment in The Nicholas Center, a learning center that is committed to providing individual students with the programs and services that enable them to thrive in Hill-Murray’s academically challenging environment. Hill-Murray teachers & staff are more than classroom educators. They are actively involved with the students as coaches, advisors, moderators, and tutors. Our small class sizes allow teachers to maintain well-disciplined classrooms, offer individual attention to each student, and hold high expectations for all. Sixty-three percent of our faculty and professional staff hold advanced degrees.
