Position: School Age Care Manager Hours: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday Location: Mendota Elementary School Salary: $50,000 Primary Function: To manage the operations of the School Age Care Program Qualifications: * 2-year degree in business, education or youth-related field or equivalent experience * Strong leadership skills * Experience in education or school-age care and knowledge of child development * Experience building teams and supervising staff * Proficient in Word, Excel, Google Mail, and Docs Finance Management including but not limited to: * Manages, organizes and prepares district state, and county reports as directed. * Assigns codes for all School-age care staff and expenditures. * Coordinates and utilizes alternative sources of funding including scholarships, county assistance, grants, and donations. * Assists with developing and monitoring the budget. * Maintains the financial integrity of program finances, including SAC accounts, collection services, county assistance billings and revenue, vendor payments, and credit reconciliations. School Age Care Management including but not limited to: * Computerizes and maintains all ISD 197 SAC enrollment, registration and participant schedules. * Ensures the security, integrity, and confidentiality of data. * Addresses and resolves program concerns from parents, and district personnel while maintaining appropriate relationships. * Manages marketing and publicity related to the programs, such as SAC Social Media Platforms. * Prepares correspondences, flyers and registration forms. * Purchases program supplies and materials. * Assists in developing, reviewing, and implementing administrative systems, policies, and procedures. * Serves as a representative of District 197, and School-Age Care by attending meetings as requested. * Coordinates with IT department on all office equipment, iPads, Apps, etc. * Manages staff absences and assigns substitutes to SAC locations. * Ensures SAC personnel are adhering to District procedures. * Provides payroll support to SAC Coordinator. * Develops training and onboarding of new employees and volunteers. * Supervises program staff and participants. * Partners with HR to recruit and hire program staff. * Establishs and maintains ongoing communication between staff, school staff, parents and community. * Develops and implements appropriate programming, field trips, and site specials. * Visits sites to monitor operations and ensure quality programming. * Maintains SAC Certification Status Compliance with the Minnesota Department of Human Services * Manages door access security code system for school-age care families. * Performs other general duties to accomplish the objectives of the program. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: * Experience with budgets and finance preferred. * Proven office management experience. * Ability to work independently while following established procedures and protocols. * Must have proven problem-solving, planning, and organization skills. * Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work and be detailed oriented. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Knowledge of human resources management practices and procedures. * Must have excellent customer service skills and proven ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with others. * Ability to understand and follow data privacy rules and regulations related to students and financial information. * Must have a high degree of flexibility. * Is prompt, timely, and thorough in completing assignments and attending to details accurately and efficiently.
