The advisor will lead with enthusiasm, energy, and will always act in the best interests of our student club members. Location: Henry Sibley High School Dates: 11/1/2019 - 4/30/2020 Qualifications: * Experience working in an engineering/robotics discipline preferred; * Demonstrated ability to work with high school age students; * Ability to serve as a positive, ethical role model through his or her actions on and off the high school campus; and * Advisor must be trained in appropriate safety procedures, including safe operation of power tools as well as lab safety procedures. Responsibilities: * Advisor will communicate and work with Activities Director to establish the Robotics program; * Advisor will set the after school work schedule, which will vary according to competitions the team enters; * Advisor MUST be present to supervise after school work. Work and storage space is provided on campus; * Advisor is responsible for filling out all registration paperwork for competitions and fundraising; and * Competitions typically occur on weekends and the advisor is required to attend all events the team engages in.
