Preferred Requirements: * Minimum Bachelor degree in a related subject matter and/or equivalent. &#183; The candidate will have native fluency of the Spanish Language. &#183; The candidate will provide appropriate instructions to the students to help them attain competency in the Spanish language as per their grade level expectations established by ISM. &#183; The candidate should be knowledgeable of the Spanish culture in order to share this knowledge with the students in an effective way. &#183; Leadership and team management skills * Interpersonal and communication skills * Organizational and self-management skills; ability to handle multiple responsibilities effectively * Goal orientation; planning and execution skills * Problem solving abilities * Dependability; readiness to go above and beyond when necessary to reach goals Courses to teach: &#183; Preschool/PreK class meets for 30 minutes daily. The instruction is based on listening, singing, learning how to read in Spanish while developing a good vocabulary base using phonics. &#183; Third grade class focuses on reading, listening, and speaking while improving phonics and vocabulary knowledge. &#183; Fifth grade class will consist of reading, writing, listening and speaking to improve students&#8217; proficiencies in those skills. A cultural component will be added to the class. &#183; Level 3 middle school class will concentrate on reading, writing, speaking and listening using grammar and vocabulary as tools to achieve higher level of competency. &#183; Course 2 in high school focuses on the 4 major skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) while increasing the cultural component for the students. Key Responsibilities: * Teaching using the provided pacing charts for their subject(s) in order to be able to teach using the SABIS&#174; point system. * Marking of exams related to their subject matter in accordance with the schedule and material provided by the department. * Discussing disciplinary and student performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller (AQC) and head of department (HOD) as needed. * Providing support by proctoring exams as needed in an adequate and properly managed exam environment. * Providing support for the academically low performing students, to help improve and get motivated to reach their potential. * Develop and/or follow external exams preparation by going through past papers as planned in the structured revision schedule (When applicable to specific grade). * Preparing and participating in activity plans for all such student life related events such as but not limited to art, open house and physical education in coordination with the student life coordinator. * Attending training sessions when needed and as per the request of school management in order to enhance their understanding of the SABIS&#174; system improving their performance * Performing such other related tasks or projects as they arise and as delegated by the school SABIS&#174; management. *Please send resume and three professional references to Kelly McPherson at kmcpherson@sabis.net<mailto:kmcpherson@sabis.net>.
