Job Description Title: Computer Service Technician FLSA Status: Exempt Reports to: CIO Hours: Determined with CIO Effective Date: 08/20/19 Background: This position provides school-wide technical support, repair and maintenance of all faculty and student hardware and software systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Install, maintain, repair and configure hardware and software on 1:1 Apple laptops as well as Apple and PC computer systems and peripherals 2. Utilize the Apple GSX system and Web Help Desk to document labor, manage parts inventory and create software to implement the 1 to 1 laptop loaner and repair process. 3. Maintain stock of parts and diagnose issues with computers and peripherals. 4. Troubleshoot day-to-day staff and student computer problems and train on... 5. Using JAMF Pro; develop, test and deploy software packages for Students and Faculty. 6. Maintain software and security programs for student computers. 7. Use the Web Help Desk to provide academic technology support for student computer hardware and software throughout the school. 8. Maintain inventory database for all desktop and laptop computers and peripheral devices school wide. 9. Manage printer supplies (toner, staples), ordering and replacing as needed. 10. Serve as a resource to the summer school program on all technical issues. 11. Support printers, audiovisual and peripherals 12. Be a resource and provide backup support to the Technology Support Services Department. 13. Remain informed on current and upcoming computer, printer and AV trends by ongoing training and attending workshops, seminars or conferences and reviewing published information. 14. Other duties, as assigned. 15. Anticipate, test, and incorporate new technology that will enhance Student and Staff education/experience. 16. Complete printer installation, setup, basic maintenance, and adjustment/updates, supply orders and repairs through MARCO website. Competencies Demonstrated: &#9679; Knowledge of macOS, Apple iOS, and Windows administration. &#9679; Knowledge of the Microsoft Office products, Google Suite and Adobe. &#9679; Familiarity with Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions, preferably JAMF. &#9679; Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software computer problems &#9679; Ability to work independently, anticipate workload, set priorities and plan and organize to complete work on a timely basis. &#9679; Ability to interface cooperatively, empathetically, courteously and professionally with students, teachers and co-workers that strengthens confidence in their ability to use technology. &#9679; Interpersonal skills and ability to contribute to a positive work environment. &#9679; Attention to detail &#9679; Ability to be accountable, dependable, and thorough &#9679; Ability to be adaptable and flexible &#9679; Ability to work collaboratively on a team &#9679; Practice of being able to set the highest standards of integrity and ethics Education and/or Experience &#9679; College degree preferred &#9679; Certified Apple repair technician, Apple Certified Macintosh Technician (ACMT) or progress toward one or both of these certifications. &#9679; Understanding of Audio/Visual hardware setup and troubleshooting including Monitors, Projectors, SMART Projectors, Receivers, Microphones, Sound Systems, Bluray/DVD Players, Webcams, Video Cameras, and AV Streaming. Education and/or Experience

        College degree preferred
