The CCS is responsible & accountable for enabling students to derive the fullest possible educational experience from ISM to ensure that they reach their academic & personal potential by providing or arranging the necessary guidance for them in their college preparatory journey. The CCS is actively involved in the day to day activities of the students, this includes meetings with students, coordinating contact with parents/guardians and school staff and integrating college services with the regular school day. Additionally, planning and maintaining Advising courses for students in Grades 9-12 for college and career research and planning. Preferred Requirements: * Minimum Bachelor degree in a related subject matter and/or equivalent &#8211; School Counseling, College & Career Specialist &#183; Knowledge and understanding of cooperating networking groups to connect students to college and career services. &#183; Leadership and team management skills * Interpersonal and communication skills * Organizational and self-management skills; ability to handle multiple responsibilities effectively * Goal orientation; planning and execution skills * Problem solving abilities * Dependability; readiness to go above and beyond when necessary to reach goals * Naviance, Common App experience.
