The successful candidate will work well in a team environment and be understanding and sensitive to the presented special needs of each student, recognizing differences in their abilities and cognitive levels. Candidates must have an associate's degree or be able to pass the ParaPro Test, experience working with children, excellent listening and communication skills for expressing or exchanging ideas and supporting communication of lesson plans. Duties will include: Assisting in maintaining classroom control that fosters a safe, positive environment for all students Ensuring adequate supervision of students Addressing various learning styles of students according to their demonstrated needs.
