Assistant School Director - Bug O Nay Ge Shig

The Bug O Nay Ge Shig School is collecting applications for the position of Assistant Director. Bug O Nay Ge Shig is operated by the Leech Lake Band of Ojibwe and governed by the Bug-O-Nay-Ge-Shig school board. It is located in the Chippewa National Forest in North central Minnesota and is now a K-12 school that provides open enrollment. The school currently serves approximately 200 students and is operating out of a beautiful new facility that allows for growth in the coming years. Under the direction of the School Director, the Assistant Director assists fellow administrative staff, teachers, and other instructional staff in coordinating and improving the instructional program to the benefit of every student; assists the Director with daily school administrative functions, including but not limited to the enforcement of student discipline policies and procedure; supervises and coordinates the work of assigned personnel, insuring adherence to school policies, regulations, and goals. While preference will be given to candidates with a K-12 Administrative license, the minimum requirement is a teaching license and experience in a leadership role. Individuals with specific experience in Special Education, Instructional Leadership, and/or Educational Technology are encouraged to apply.
