Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Director of Student Services. Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Thorough skill operating standard office equipment and related hardware and software; ability to track and report student mental health and well being facts; ability to plan and coordinate workload; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, administrators and the general public. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree and minimal experience working with individual students and their parents to improve student success, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Essential Functions * Works with individual students and their parents to improve student success. Regularly tracks levels of assigned students' success. * Facilitates communication and proactive problem solving at the student level and between home and school. * Attends relevant meetings for assigned student cases. * Consults with teachers to monitor students' response to intervention. Collects, enters and communicates data related to student progress. * Participates in building problem solving teams. * Connects with assigned students and families. Physical Requirements This work requires the occasional exertion of up to 25 pounds of force; work regularly requires sitting and speaking or hearing, frequently requires walking and occasionally requires standing, using hands to finger, handle or feel, reaching with hands and arms, pushing or pulling and repetitive motions; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word and conveying detailed or important instructions to others accurately, loudly or quickly; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operating machines and observing general surroundings and activities; work has no exposure to environmental conditions; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).
