The technology assistant will help with the deployment, implementation, and maintenance of district and building-level technology. The position is focused on computer hardware and software but is also expected to work with all elements of technology including telephone network, copy and printing services, audio-visual support, and other technology. Duties/Responsibilities: 1. Structure: This position is a full-time position contracted for 210 days. The primary work schedule coordinates with the school-year calendar but the position does extend beyond the school year. The actual work schedule will be coordinated with the Technology Director based on needs during the year. 2. Demographics: The position will serve each site in the district as needs arise. Site locations include Rocori High School/Middle School, District Education Facility, Cold Spring Elementary, Richmond and Rockville. 3. Software: Windows, Office, Smart Notebook, Skyward SIS, as well as an understanding of portable devices, such as iPads and smart phones. 4. Hardware: Troubleshooting/replacing hardware components within PCs and Macs. The individual should be capable of performing basic troubleshooting procedures on projectors, Smartboards, scanners, wireless and printing. 5. Networking: The individual should have basic networking skills. These skills include creating patch cables and troubleshooting network issues at a desktop or laptop level.
