Our ideal colleague has graphic design chops, a panache for photography and dabbles in video. Writing and other foundation communication and public relations skills are a plus. Spring Lake Park Schools serves 6,200 students from the suburbs of Blaine, Fridley and Spring Lake Park, in the northern Minneapolis-St. Paul metropolitan area. What we ask of you * Assist in planning, developing and implementing the district communication and marketing plan * Design engaging communication experiences &#8211; digital, print and in person &#8211; that bring the unique learning and teaching story of Spring Lakes Park Schools to life and inspire people to engage more deeply * Show interest in learning about and deeply understanding the parent, student and teacher experience, assist in creating a map of where those experiences are going and contribute to helping get us there * Produce visually appealing content for a variety of channels and audiences Your qualifications * Four-year degree or equivalent experience in design, marketing, communication or related area * Excellent graphic design and visual storytelling experience using common tools of the trade: Adobe Suite, Finalsite (or other CMS), etc. * Proven abilities in photography and video shooting and editing * Proficiency in digital communication platforms &#8211; content management platforms, social networks, etc. * Ability to engage and inspire others and a can-do, idea generating, leap forward attitude * Strong interpersonal skills and ability to productively engage with a variety of people What we provide: - Full time role with highly competitive salary and benefits - Paid time off (21 off-duty/vacation days, 12 holidays, 17 sick days) - An environment overflowing with compelling stories to share and infused with purpose every day; great opportunity to build your portfolio - A fun, engaging, creative team to work alongside and learn and grow with How to Apply Position will remain open until filled.
