Training and experience working with middle school students in Math in Focus/Singapore Math is desired, as is the willingness to receive training in advance of the start date. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to create developmentally appropriate curricula, establish a supportive and engaging classroom environment for students, and work collaboratively with colleagues and parents/guardians. Successful candidates will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills. In addition, candidates should be able to advise students effectively and otherwise contribute to the life of the school outside the classroom. Training and experience in Developmental Designs for Middle School preferred. All candidates are expected to carry out the mission of SPA, "Shaping the minds and hearts of the people who will change the world," and to contribute to the life of the school outside of their primary duties and responsibilities.
