Position: School Psychologist Open: 11-25-19 Location: Circle of Life Academy, White Earth, MN Close: Open until filled Pay: Teacher Pay Scale Benefits: PTO Status: Part Time The White Earth Reservation Business Committee is currently seeking a qualified applicant who will be responsible for the support of student learning, social development, and mental and behavioral health using problem-solving, assessment, data-based decision making recommendations and delivery of evidence-based interventions. This position will collaborate and consult with educators, families and other professionals to help create safe, healthy and supportive learning environments for all students. &#8226; Provide a comprehensive range of services as described in the current standards from the National Association of School Psychologists. &#8226; Assist with the development of and support school-wide practices to promote learning. &#8226; Adhere to a legal, ethical and professional school psychology practice. &#8226; Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: &#8226; Knowledge of and ability to follow and apply the policies and procedures of the White Earth Reservation Tribal Council, Circle of Life Academy and the White Earth Education Department. &#8226; Skill with interventions and instructional support to develop academic skills. &#8226; Skill with interventions and mental health services to develop social and life skills. &#8226; Skill when adhering to data-based decision making and accountability. &#8226; Skill to utilize and promote consultation and collaboration with professional colleagues, students, families, and other stakeholders. &#8226; Ability to consistently use and promote preventative and responsive services. &#8226; Ability to apply research and program evaluation. &#8226; Ability to provide effective professional services that promote effective functioning for individuals, families, and schools with diverse characteristics, cultures and backgrounds across multiple contexts. &#8226; Knowledge in basic Anishinaabe culture and working with students and their families. &#8226; Knowledge of the White Earth Reservation demographics, culture, history, and lifestyles. Qualifications: &#8226; Completion of an accredited graduate degree program at the specialist-level or higher requiring a minimum of 60 graduate semester hours of study and 1200 hours of supervised internship in School Psychology, with a minimum of 600 hours in a school setting. &#8226; Hold, or be eligible to obtain within a designated time-frame, a valid School Psychology license/certificate issued by the MN Department of Education. School psychologists who hold the National Certification in School Psychology (NCSP) in addition to the required state certification/licensure are encouraged to apply. &#8226; Valid Driver&#8217;s License and insurance for travel between sites and other related business. &#8226; Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
