Position: COLA Industrial Technology Educator Open: Until Filled Pay: Teacher Pay Scale Benefits: Full Status: Full Time The White Earth Reservation Business Committee is currently seeking a qualified applicant who will be responsible for providing the leadership and expertise required to ensure that the COLA School Industrial Technology program is aligned with the mission, goals and objectives of the school and is an integral component of the school&#8217;s instructional program. &#8226; Successfully and safely instruct various industrial education courses with the potential to include: Autos, Robotics, Welding, Woods, CAD/Drafting, Electronics and Industrial Tech. &#8226; Meet and instruct assigned classes in the locations and at the times designated. &#8226; Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning within the limits of the resources provided by COLA. &#8226; Encourage students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior and report to the appropriate administrator information about individual student compliance with school and district behavioral expectations, and state and federal laws. &#8226; Take all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, materials, and facilities. &#8226; Evaluate student progress on a regular basis. &#8226; Maintain accurate, complete, and correct records as required by law, District policy, and administrative regulations. &#8226; Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations and Board Policy. &#8226; Make provision for being available to students and parents for education-related purposes outside the instructional day when required or requested to do so under reasonable terms. &#8226; Work to establish and maintain open lines of communication with students and their parents concerning both the broad academic and behavioral progress of all assigned students. &#8226; Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: &#8226; Knowledge of and ability to follow and apply the policies and procedures of the White Earth Tribal Council and the Circle of Life Academy. &#8226; Prepare for classes assigned and show written evidence of preparation upon request of the principal. &#8226; Strive to implement via instruction and action the District&#8217;s philosophy of education and instructional goals and objectives. Reading training/background preferred with a strong knowledge of Response to Intervention and Common Core Standards. &#8226; Knowledge of the White Earth Reservation demographics, culture, history, and lifestyles. Qualifications: &#8226; A highly qualified candidate will hold appropriate state certification as an Industrial Technology Educator. &#8226; Valid Driver&#8217;s License and insurance for travel between sites and other related business. &#8226; Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
