Preferred Qualifications: * Master&#8217;s Degree * Administrative licensure or in the process of obtaining licensure * Demonstrated deep understanding of one's own identity and the ability to effectively collaborate across differences * Demonstrated knowledge and application of theory related to the developmental process of building intercultural competence. * Ability to engage in ongoing professional/personal development in order to develop self and to maintain a current knowledge base in the fields of education and equity. * Excellent human relation skills and experience in working with diverse populations, community organizations and other advocacy groups. * Ability to work as part of a cohesive team and meaningfully contribute to the team. * Excellent communication skills both verbal and in writing Responsibilities: * Lead and supervise staff in the Office of Educational Equity * Lead professional development for district staff and administration * Collaborate with Teaching & Learning and other departments to align ongoing equity specific learning and growth for students, families and staff throughout the district * Research, adopt, manage and review programming designed to enhance opportunities for academic achievement for historically under-served learners * Design annual budgets and plans that align with the Minnesota Department of Education's Achievement and Integration guidelines * Approve and monitor expenditures for the Office of Educational Equity * Serve as LEA representative for the American Indian Parent Advisory Council and other parent groups as assigned * Serve as liaison for the districts staff affinity groups * Collaborate with the Department of Human Resources on recruitment and retention of staff * Assist in mediating conflict regarding intercultural differences * Support the work of the Educational Equity Alliance (ISD 622's partnership with Mahtomedi Public Schools) * Other related duties as assigned ISD 622 is an equal opportunity employer and supports an inclusive workplace environment. Position:  Equity Coordinator
Work Schedule:
Full-time, Monday - Friday, Year Round
Start Date: ASAP
Pay:  $75,000 - $90,000 dependent on qualifications
