Qualifications: Previous coaching experience at the high school or collegiate level preferred. Interest in helping student-athletes grow academically, athletically, and socially to build character. Responsibilities: To help assist in developing the K-12 wrestling program. To assist in maintaining high academic standards for all student-athletes. To work cooperatively with other coaches at WHA and participate in summer camps, supervising weight-room and gymnasium, if needed. To foster among the participants and spectators an appreciation of the values of athletics, a desire to win, display an attitude of good sportsmanship and a sense of pride in team, school, self and community. To assist in the training, conditioning and performance of the wrestling team and assist other coaches in their development as coaches in having a top-notch program. To act as a positive influence upon the behavior of members of the athletic staff and team. Must have a love and a passion for working with young people and be able to communicate effectively with student athletes, coaching staff, administration and parents.
