Elementary Title I Interventionist/Educator Report to: Personnel Team Responsible to: EdVisions Cooperative Summary The Title I Interventionist/Educator position is designed to assist K-6 students at Minnesota New Country School Elementary with math, reading, and writing skills to align with Minnesota State Standards. The Title I Interventionist/Educator works with advisors to develop curriculum that meets state standards, to analyze assessment data, and provide &#8220;real time&#8221; push-in and pull-out research-based interventions in the core curricular areas. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Utilize best practice instructional strategies and research-based intervention curriculum materials to meet the learning needs of students. * Model the use of intervention strategies, through their use in the classroom, to general and special education teachers. * Analyze existing student achievement data and administer student assessment and progress monitoring instruments as needed to aid in progress monitoring of Title I students. * In collaboration with the SST team, develops reading and math interventions for at-risk students and collects intervention data for special education pre-referral process * Maintain accurate records and maintain confidentiality of student data * Assist with and/or facilitate completion of annual Title 1 reporting to MDE (Reading Well by 3rd Grade and district Literacy Plan, any others as required) * Provide information and data for Title 1 grant applications and audits * Work in collaboration with MNCS reading and math teams * Assist in K-6 dyslexia screening and parent communication * Participate in professional development opportunities * Follow district guidelines and policies. * Assist with preparation for and administration of state tests as needed * Participate in the shared leadership model of a Teacher Powered school. This includes: Membership on teams, attending staff meetings (elementary staff, all-staff, and in-service training), and shared duties (opening, lunch, recess) at elementary site. * Possible opportunity to help in a specialist area: Projects or Music or PE. Minimum Qualifications * Valid MN Teaching License (K-6) * Willingness and flexibility to work in a highly collaborative environment. * Ability to work with and meet individual needs of the student as directed by advisors or other staff. Elementary Title I Interventionist/Educator

Summary

The Title I Interventionist/Educator position is designed to assist K-6 students at Minnesota New Country School Elementary with math, reading, and writing skills to align with Minnesota State Standards. The Title I Interventionist/Educator works with advisors to develop curriculum that meets state standards, to analyze assessment data, and provide “real time” push-in and pull-out research-based interventions in the core curricular areas.
