Badger Public School has an opening for a paraprofessional with sign language skills or willingness to learn sign language for the 2020-2021 school year Duties include facilitating student communication, academic, and social growth, by providing the students with equal access to communication, participate in classroom activities, maintain acceptable behavior, and assistance with daily care activities (dressing, eating, and toileting), all under the direction of teacher of the Deaf Hard of Hearing. Preference will be given to candidates having background knowledge of hearing loss or the willingness to participate in training to obtain certification related to American Sign Language, PCA certification, and early childhood development.
