Prairie Seeds Academy is a K-12 public charter school located in Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Our teachers and staff work very hard to create and sustain a warm, safe and productive atmosphere for learning. Brooklyn Park, MN 55428 Salary Range: DOE JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for coordinating services according to 21st CCLC standard protocols. The coordinator will communicate and plan between the school, staff, students, and community; facilitate and schedule school and community activities contributing to community participation in school events and performs other related duties as required and in accordance with terms of the Community Learning Center Grant and district goals. The candidate must demonstrate a strong work ethic, as well as integrity, accountability, and high performance in previous work experiences. The best candidate for this position is someone who can align themselves to our outcomes driven culture and understands the unique challenges of an immigrant and refugee community. The successful candidate has experience effectively managing multiple programs, supporting success for high-risk youth, and desire to work with diverse new American communities. JOB FUNCTION Duties of this job include, but are not limited to: &#183; Implement high quality out-of-school time programs that provide academic support, educational enrichment, and wrap around community- based services e.g. employment, housing, food shelf, and more &#183; Participate in staff training and develop skills and best practices in programming and youth development &#183; Provide activities that prepare youth for success, promoting safety of members and quality in programs at all times &#183; Coordinate food service, transportation, and child-care to meet the site&#8217;s needs &#183; Attend CCLC meetings between partners and other stakeholders &#183; Ensure activities are planned, delivered, and documented as intended &#183; Ensure field trip activities are planned and executed as scheduled &#183; Communicate with school day teachers for student needs &#183; Collect and enter dada into the data collection system &#183; Gather registration forms, attendance sheets, and other forms required by the program &#183; Ensure CCLC site space is welcoming to students, parents, and community members &#183; Participate in CCLC advisory board &#183; Represent and be a positive ambassador of the program and CCLC &#183; Perform other duties as assigned SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS &#183; Hold a Bachelor&#8217;s degree in human services, education or related field &#183; Minimum of three years working in schools K-12 &#183; Desire to work with an ethnically diverse population &#183; Experience in coordinating after school services and youth development programs and services &#183; Ability to work as a team member with fellow co-workers and staff &#183; Cultural sensitivity and understanding of special family and youth issues &#183; Ability to write and organize reports with skill in gathering required information &#183; Skills in written and verbal communication.
