This position must supervise students to ensure a positive, safe, and sanitary environment for students. This position reports to the designated Dean of Students. Responsibilities: * Responsible for transitioning students through scheduled daily agenda as specified by the Dean of Students. * Monitors and/or leads students through large-motor activity time, conducted both indoors and outdoors. * Assumes responsibility for appropriate equipment. Equipment includes but is not limited to student personal learning devices (PLDs), laptops, desktops, printers, cords, connectivity, projectors, SMARTboards, AppleTV, Avervisions, Redcat, cameras, camcorders, and DVD drives. * Directs movement of groups to and from lunchroom and classrooms in a safe and organized manner. * Supervises students in classroom and/or lunchroom and maintains a harmonious atmosphere by encouraging students to behave appropriately and act responsibly including peaceful resolution of conflicts. * Contributions to lunchroom, gymnasium, and classroom clean up and sanitization. * Communicates, collaborates, and cooperates with colleagues, supervisors, and students. * Enforces school policies or practices set forth by the School Board and building administration. * Participates in all mandatory training or training appropriate to the position as required by the district. Minimum Qualifications: * Must be 18 years of age of older. * High level of comfort utilizing computer technology such as Zoom Meetings, Google Docs, and navigating websites. * Possess personal attributes of integrity and respect for others as well as ability to work effectively in collaborative teams and serve as a supervisor for elementary students. * Strong content knowledge in core areas (English, Math, Science, and Social Studies). * Must be able to walk, stand, and bend frequently. * Must be able to speak and hear to communicate with children and staff. Preferred Qualifications: * Interest in the area of Education, Child Development, or a similar field. * Previous experience supervising children K-5 in small group settings, such as summer camps, education programs, public or private school settings.
