Our support begins with the pre-employment experience and extends to assisting former staff with submission of COBRA insurance claims. Although our responsibility lies outside the classroom, our main goal is to provide assistance to staff with HR and Payroll functions, allowing them to focus on their students. The position would be in an office setting, Monday through Friday, with the shift to be determined. Essential Functions: * Assist the Director of HR in meeting administrative goals or school-wide initiatives * Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information related to personnel files and actions * Post job offers in the applicant tracking system: Recruiting and Hiring ( formerly Applitrack) * Onboard new employees, including completing new hire paperwork, creating badges, and adding employee information to all appropriate databases. * Assist with new-employee orientations * Proctor language tests for new employees * Maintain Absence Management (formerly Aesop) leave database, including generating reports * Maintain employee status in Time and Attendance (formerly Veritime) attendance database, including generating reports * Assist staff with absence entry * General office duties as assigned (faxing, filing, copying, scanning, data entry, scheduling appointments) Qualifications: * Any combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the essential functions of the position * Previous HR and/or Payroll experience, preferably in a school setting * Strong Excel or Google Sheets knowledge including formatting, functions, and data analysis * Experience using Google Mail, Drive, Docs, and Calendar * Strong communication and organizational skills, and ability to interact effectively with administration, staff, and parents * Ability to perform multiple tasks with minimal supervision Preferences: * Experience with Frontline Absence Management (formerly Aesop), Time and Attendance (formerly Veritime), and Recruiting and Hiring (formerly Applitrack) * Spanish or Mandarin language skills Benefits / Rate of Pay: * Vacation, Sick, and Holiday Pay * Public Employee Retirement Association (PERA) 7.5% of gross income * Hourly Rate: $15.00 per hour starting rate * Up to an additional $1.00 per hour for Spanish or Mandarin language skills Physical Requirements: This position requires vocal communication, hearing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, use of hands to grasp and feel, and vision abilities including close, distance, and adjusting focus.
