Village Kids Experienced Aide
Wilshire Park Elementary School
Qualifications:
High School Diploma/Equivalent
Experience working with youth in an education, recreation, or other related field preferred.
Minimum Desired Qualifications:
Strong communication skills and flexibility; Experience collaborating in teams; Demonstrates an understanding of cultural competency
Purpose:
This position will work in our Village Kids (grades K-5) program at Wilshire Park Elementary School. The Village Kids aide will greet parents/guardians from 3:30-5:30 p.m. outside Door 9 each day. The aide will follow established procedures to inform the appropriate staff it is time for the child to go home. The aide will check identification of adults, when needed, to verify they are authorized to pick up a child and may need to call a parent/guardian to verify the identity of the adult who is present. The aide may also provide support to children enrolled in Village Kids and may be asked to assist in monitoring the safety of children engaged in play.
Responsibilities:
Experience working with young children five to ten years of age, ability to work effectively on a team, clean driving record, and ability to develop positive relationships with coworkers, parents, and children.
Employment Dates: Position available Tuesday, January 19
.25 FTE, 10 hours per week
Salary: $11.99 per hour
