St. Michael Catholic School in Prior Lake is seeking an enthusiastic and creative educator to join our team as an educational assistant for our kindergarten and first grade classrooms. Responsibilities include: Helping teachers maintain a positive, productive learning environment. Assessing and documenting student progress. In conjunction with our classroom teachers and special services facilitator, working to meet individual learning needs. Work with small groups of children who need more support or challenge. An ideal candidate will have demonstrated success in working with kindergarten and first grade students; proven ability to build positive relationships with students, parents and colleagues; and a love for the joyful work that is educating our children in our Catholic faith tradition. The St. Michael faculty is a collaborative, hardworking, and experienced group of educators. You will feel welcomed and supported as we work together to make the remainder of this 2020-2021 school year a great one for our students. An associate degree or BA and at least two years of experience is preferred. This position is to begin immediately and run through June 4, 2021, with a possibility of extension to the 2021-22 school year. Hours: 30-35 hours/week, Monday through Friday.
