Teachers will strive to ensure that all Hiawatha Academies scholars are empowered with the knowledge, character and leadership skills to graduate from college and serve the common good. Elementary teachers will work alongside grade level teammates, special education teachers, specialist teachers, and under the guidance of the campus leadership team. Job Description

  • Hiawatha Academies elementary students’ school day is from 7:10 am-3:00 pm, Monday-Thursday and 7:10 am-1:15 pm on Friday.
  • Staff must be present from 7:00 am-3:15 pm, Monday-Friday, or until all duties are completed for the next day. 
  • Professional development sessions are held each Friday from 1:45 pm-3:15 pm.
  • All Hiawatha Staff are expected to attend and participate in all family events at the school.

Skills & Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Valid Minnesota teaching license in content area (or ability to gain before start date)
