Minimal Qualifications: BS Degree in Elementary Education K &#8211; 6 teaching license Experience teaching mathematics Preferred Qualifications 1 &#8211; 3 years of Mathematics experience Experience working in a bi-lingual/bi-cultural educational setting Demonstrate an ability to adapt to the changing needs and requirements of working in a charter school. Knowledge of working with English language learners Knowledge of SDAIE (Specially-Designed Academic-Instruction in English) Spanish speaking Responsibilities: &#9679; Working on a regular basis to improve math with at-risk students. &#9679; Work with classroom teachers to identify students through assessment data. &#9679; Use a variety of instructional strategies, including small group instruction and one-on-one instruction. &#9679; Demonstrates competence in helping students with a variety of mathematics skills. &#9679; Communicates frequently with classroom teachers about student progress. &#9679; Serve on committees related to the specific job responsibilities and to the overall welfare of the school. &#9679; Attend workshops and conferences and stay up-to-date in the latest mathematics research in order to maintain an awareness of best practices in the field of math instruction.
