Kandiyohi Academy Vision Kandiyohi Academy&#8217;s vision is to provide a student-centered learning environment where all of its students, families, and community have active and meaningful roles in the educational development of youth. Kandiyohi Academy will provide academic success for all students through its STEM focused Charter School and a strong investment in engaging community/families in the educational processes of our children. Mission Kandiyohi Academy's mission is to serve the needs of all of its students as they prepare for becoming life-long learners and contributing members of society. Kandiyohi Academy will utilize best practice in both traditional and STEM curricula as well as effective whole child development to ensure that all children learn to care for others while becoming scientific, technological and logical thinkers Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to 1. Create a safe learning environment that engages students and parents in acquiring basic skills and knowledge, use of digital tools, and focus on building human relationships. 2. Report to Executive Director. 3. Follow the Mission and Design Essentials of Minnesota New Country School described above. 4. Follow the Design Components described above. 5. Work with students and parents to create an individual learning plan that identifies learning and developmental goals and communication plan for each student. 6. Maintain appropriate records of students&#8217; academic and social growth 7. Work cooperatively with staff to effectively implement a K-5 program as described above. 8. Work cooperatively with the staff and students in the 6-12 program. 9. Participate and assists in field trips and out-of-school activities to the best of your ability. 10. Attend all staff meetings and staff development trainings. 11. Annually review and agree to adhere to the MNCS Employee Manual. 12. Work with K-5 teachers and staff to develop a personal professional development plan and evaluation system. Implement and document this system for each K-5 staff member. 13. Seek and/or create professional development to enhance the success of individual staff and the K-5 program. 14. Attend Board Meetings as needed. 15. Provide oversight and leadership for the K-5 Program. 16. Annually and on an on-going basis, review, analyze, and evaluate the budget and allocation of resources for the K-5 Program and make recommendations to the 6-12 Lead Teacher and School Board. 17.
