Description: The Staff Development/Assessment Specialist fosters development and growth of professional learning communities and facilitating job-embedded staff development. In collaboration with administrators, teachers and other stakeholders, the SDAS supports the goal of building staff capacity to meet system-wide and local school initiatives to ensure equitable student achievement gains. The SDAS supports the Principal to implement the Continuous Program Improvement Process. Job Summary: * Collaborates in the development and facilitation of site professional development aligned with system-wide and site goals based on school needs. * Provides differentiated job embedded professional development for individuals, departments and/or grade level teams. * Leads and supports assessment development with grade level or department teams. Facilitates the collaboration for system wide common assessments. * Supports the Continuous Program Improvement Process. * Engages in on-going collaboration with other SDAS and DLTL colleagues to improve student learning. * Performs other comparable duties of a like or similar nature as assigned. Qualifications: * Bachelor's Degree and valid Minnesota teaching license.
