Please note this position may be combined with the Mora ABE/GED teaching position (Job ID 5205) Specific Tasks: * Work collaboratively with the Anoka Ramsey Community College-Cambridge Campus Math Instructor to deliver an accelerated "Mathematical Foundations with Elementary Algebra Course" (Math 0230) Fall and Spring semesters (1 semester = 18 weeks) * Independently teach Math 0080 (lowest-level developmental math class) beginning Spring semester of 2022. * Plan and deliver "just in time" ABE math content delivery, study skills, etc., on opposite days of the ARCC-Math Instructor's lectures to students in Math 0230. * Attend the ARCC math instructor lecture hours to provide additional support to students. * Invite guest speakers from college services (counseling, advising, TRIO, etc.) to visit ABE "lab" days. * Ensure all ABE content presented in class is aligned to ABE state standards (CCRS, ACES, Northstar). * Administer TABE Math pre- and post- tests * Communicate regularly with the Adult Basic Education Coordinator as to the progress of students and provide necessary updates on the status of the class. * Be flexible, energetic, and engaging in your teaching style and delivery. * Be committed to working with diverse student populations with a variety of needs and challenges. Hours Per Day: Fall '21 Semester will consist of one section of Math 0230 (18 weeks long, 6.25 hours/week). Spring '22 Semester will consist of one section of Math 0230 and one section of Math 0080 (18 weeks long, approximately 12.5 hours per week total).
