LDA of Minnesota is seeking a special educator to join our Assessment Team. This important position works closely with a group of professionals to evaluate children, youth and adults who are seeking a learning disability and/or ADHD diagnosis. Job Duties: * Administering, scoring, and analyzing the results of the Woodcock Johnson Test of Achievement or other measures of achievement approved for this purpose by LDA Minnesota * Collecting and summarizing information using an informal checklist for executive functioning and/or information processing * Complete client interview * Ability to complete the following sections on a Psychoeducational Evaluation Report: * Academic Achievement Test Results * Summary of Academic Achievement * Information Interview * Summary of any additional informal checklists (information processing/executive functioning) * Any other test results/findings/analysis * Recommendations* (*input from and in consultation with the Psychologist). * Assist with compiling the draft report * Attend the feedback session to present your assessment results, findings, and recommendations * Attend Monthly Assessment Team meetings * Other duties related to assessment upon request Experience: * Valid Minnesota Department of Education License in any one of the following areas of special education: Specific Learning Disabilities, Academic Behavioral Strategist * Experience administering and scoring the WJ IV * Ability to work cooperatively and respectfully with students, adults and family members who are culturally, racially, and linguistically diverse * Exceptional communication skills; verbally, non-verbally, and in writing * Team player and positive professional demeanor track record This position is part-time and can be scheduled around other part- or full-time work. Testing sessions may occur after school hours, evenings or weekends during the academic year. Pay is competitive and based on work performed.
