Preschool Teacher/Assistant Teacher Position Description St. Hubert Catholic School is looking for caring and effective preschool teachers and preschool assistant teacher. The preschool teacher/assistant teacher is responsible for the social, academic, and emotional well-being of preschool students. Part of a team, the teacher works with colleagues to ensure all policies and procedures are followed to ensure a safe and healthy environment. They are also responsible for preparing and delivering lesson plans. Enrolling over 700 students, St. Hubert Catholic School is a strong preK - 8 Catholic school focused on faith, academics, and family. The school has served the Chanhassen and surrounding communities for over 150 years. Enrollment has stabilized over the past several years, and there are exciting new projects underway to connect student learning with the real-world. The school is the primary mission of St. Hubert Catholic Church, and therefore maintains a strong relationship with the parish and the parishioners. Active parent involvement creates and supports a strong community base for the school. Job Qualifications * Bachelors degree in education; a degree in early childhood or other related field preferred. * Experience and demonstrated success in teaching; prior experience working in a preschool or daycare setting preferred. * Minnesota teaching licensure preferred. * Candidates need not be Catholic, but be willing to uphold the mission of Little Saints Preschool as a ministry of St. Hubert Catholic Church. * Knowledgeable and experienced in effective elementary/early childhood instruction and assessment. * Demonstrates effectively and collegially working with others. * Demonstrates ability to make decisions. * Demonstrates ability to work without supervision. * Pass required background check. * Complete VIRTUS training.
