This is a job level 12 (hourly range: $32.02-$33.55), twelve month, full time position. The position includes insurance, vacation, sick leave, and paid holidays.
The person in this position is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, controlling, supervising and implementing all federal and state mandated safety and fire regulations and codes. As well as supervising and directing purchasing, receiving, and shipping at the District Warehouse.
Applicants should:
* Understand federal and state safety and fire regulations and codes
* Have the ability to determine safety applications
* Have knowledge of hazardous chemicals and substances, asbestos regulations and indoor air quality
* Have knowledge and ability to perform bidding, quoting and purchasing procedures
* Be able to operate motor vehicles and hold a valid drivers license
* Have the ability to supervise, train and evaluate employees
Qualifications: Ten years safety management and five years supervisory experience preferred or a minimum of five years safety management experience.
