Additional $3,000.00 hiring bonus available. Bonus payable in two installments, December 2022 and June 2023, dependent on continued employment.. Required Qualifications: Valid Minnesota School Counselor License plus Master's degree in school counseling. Highly Preferred: Bilingual Somali speaking, experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse students, previous experience in working with urban/underserved families and with ELL students and their families. Duties and Responsibilities may include: * Facilitate small groups or individual sessions with students regarding personal issues, social interactions, and emotional concerns. * Assist students in planning an educational program that will fit their educational abilities and aptitudes. * Provide individual and group counseling to students who are struggling academically and behaviorally. * Provide support for students as needed on time management and organizational issues. * Provide transition support to students, staff, and families.
