Current teaching license issued through the state of Minnesota. Previous work experience preferred teaching academically at-risk students in small group and 1:1 settings. Summary of Duties: The title I teacher will work with pre-selected students that are identified as at-risk for failure in the areas of math and reading. These students will range from grade K-5. The teacher will be expected to work with the students in their classrooms, 1:1, and in small groups, depending on their needs. Lesson planning based on scientific and research based intervention will be required. The teacher will also be required to do pre and post assessment weekly to determine student growth and continued need for services. Adjustments to lessons and service methods will need to be made frequently to make sure that students are making expected progress. The teacher will also be responsible for professional and accurate communication with classroom teachers, the position supervisor, and parents.
