Torah Academy is a unique private school with strong community involvement and dedication. The school offers a dual curriculum in which students participate in General Studies for half of the day and Judaic Studies the other half. Torah Academy has served the Orthodox Jewish community for the past 77 years. Torah Academy currently houses 300+ students (Early Childhood - 8th grade). This position can be a .5 FTE (12:15 - 4:15) or a 1.0 FTE. Under the direction of the principal, elementary school teachers: * Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula/learning targets based on the MN Academic Standards for Math * Select and suggest materials and supplies to implement lessons * Use a variety of formal and summative assessments to evaluate and record student growth in an organized and timely manner * Maintain a high level of rigor that has been established * Maintain student attendance records, grades, and parent emails in a timely manner * Adhere to the mission statement of Torah Academy and demonstrate sensitivity to the cultural background and differing perspectives the learners bring to Torah Academy Curricula materials/resources: * A designated scope and sequence with learning targets that allow flexibility to bring individual creativity into the classroom * HMH Into Math * ParentLocker - Gradebook, emails, attendance Strong candidates will: * Contribute to a strong classroom community led by mutual respect and interest in learning and growth * Build solid relationships with students and families * Communicate clearly with administration and co-teachers * Have a desire to learn and grow through experience and professional development * Accept responsibility and be self-motivated * Work well as part of a team Qualifications: * MN Teacher Licensure * Out of State Teaching License * A degree in a related field Contact: Mr. Matthew Cleary, Principal of General Studies 952-285-8606 mcleary@torahacademymn.org<mailto:mcleary@torahacademymn.org>
