Responsibilities &#9679; Articulate the mission and vision of Global Academy to students, parents, and the greater community &#9679; Create a classroom environment in which every child can succeed and which establishes high academic and behavior standards &#9679; Demonstrate high proficiency and expertise in content areas &#9679; Create effective lesson plans and instructional materials &#9679; Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students &#9679; Teach all approved curricula &#9679; Implement and support the School Wide Positive Behavior System established by the school &#9679; Assess the progress of each student &#9679; Use standardized test data to make instructional decisions &#9679; Prepare and maintain appropriate records and progress reports &#9679; Communicate with parents during the school day and outside the normal classroom hours as required &#9679; Identify student needs and make appropriate referrals for student services &#9679; Help to promote and maintain a professional environment &#9679; Direct paraprofessionals and volunteers as necessary &#9679; Demonstrate the attributes of a lifelong learner &#9679; Participate successfully in the faculty professional development and evaluation system &#9679; Perform other duties as may be reasonably assigned by the administration Required Qualifications &#9679; Must be licensed (or eligible to be licensed) to teach elementary students (Grades K-6) by the State of Minnesota or eligible to be licensed &#9679; Excellent verbal and written communication skills &#9679; Familiarity with educational technology &#9679; Ability to work with diverse student populations &#9679; Commitment to educational equity Preferred Qualifications &#9679; Experience working with ESL population &#9679; Knowledge of or experience with the International Baccalaureate Program Global Academy offers competitive salaries and benefits for its teaching faculty. &#9679; Salary range for 2022-223 based experience and education (will increase for next year): $46,730 to $79,295 &#9679; Fully paid benefits for individual employees include: health, dental, vision, LTD, STD, life, employer provided HSA contribution, TRA.
