WORLD LANGUAGES TEACHER - SPANISH - HORACE HIGH SCHOOL
POSITION: World Languages Teacher - Spanish - Horace High School
TERM: 188-day contract beginning with the 2023-2024 School Year
SUMMARY: This position is for a full-time Spanish teacher at Horace High. The world languages teacher develops learners' knowledge, skills and abilities in comprehending, speaking, reading, and writing Spanish, and to develop an understanding and appreciation of the native culture of the countries where Spanish is the primary means of communication. The world languages teacher creates an engaging, nurturing, and safe learning environment that allows learners to develop their physical, social, and emotional wellbeing; providing instruction in future ready skills, knowledge, and dispositions to be compassionate, lifelong-learners, and contributing citizens in a rapidly changing world.
QUALIFICATIONS:
SALARY: Commensurate with experience and education, the starting salary for this position would be following the 2023-2024 Teacher Salary Schedule. (Refer to 2022-2023 Teacher Salary Schedule until new schedule is available.)
In addition, the WFPS District funds the entire 11.75% employee contribution to TFFR, as well as the 12.75% employer contribution.
