New Millennium Academy (NMA) is a Hmong charter school, and its mission is to prepare learners for life by engaging them in high academic achievement and fostering cultural pride and identity. NMA’s vision is to develop global leaders who transform the world.

Description
To foster a culture of learning, Academic Coaches inspire and empower teachers to become equity-focused instructional decision makers. Academic Coaches work closely with teachers to discover and implement best practices, including data-driven instruction and needs-driven interventions. Academic Coaches also identify and coordinate curricula that align with state standards and provide job-embedded coaching for teachers and teacher teams as well as whole-staff professional development. Academic Coaches possess integrity, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and maintain accountability for their actions. Academic Coaches align themselves with NMA’s core principles and understand the unique challenges of immigrant and refugee communities.
