LLCC PT NATURALIST – LIVE ON-SITE (Grade 5)

Wage Range $22.68 - $26.94
Long Lake Conservation Center is fully committed to sharing the Ojibwe and Dakota traditional and contemporary conservation practices and principles of interdependence and coexistence with nature. These principles and practices will be incorporated throughout all of Long Lake's curriculum, including stand-alone programming. Because of this priority, preference will be given to candidates with academic studies related to Ojibwe or Dakota culture, or equivalent life experience.
Aitkin County is accepting applications for a LLCC PT Naturalist (Live On-Site) to lead students, teachers and parents in conservation education programs and activities, conduct programs for students and adults in environmental education and outdoor recreation, and to oversee and cares for resident live animals.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Natural Science, Environmental Education, Recreation, Languages and Indigenous Studies, related field, or equivalent life experience.
First Aid/CPR Certified within six months of hiring. Training provided.
MN Teaching license preferred, but not required.
Valid Minnesota driver’s license required. Employment reference checks and a criminal background check (including FBI fingerprint check).
Must be willing to work flexible hours as assigned, including evenings and some weekends for special events.
