School Social Worker- Benton-Stearns Education District Benton-Stearns Education District is seeking a School Social Worker to support special education programming. The candidate will work with the special education team to develop intervention strategies for students that struggle with mental health and behavioral issues. Candidates will have a clear understanding of: * The impact of student&#8217;s disabilities * The impact of family dynamics on student&#8217;s behavior * Trauma Informed Practices * Mindfulness practices in schools * The impact of chemical use on mental health Benton-Stearns is looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills. The position will meet with students individually and teach social skills to small groups of students. They will assist the team in assessment of needs and developing emotional/ behavioral programming. Candidates will provide consultation to the team regarding mental health concerns and how they affect learning. They will also work with administration to provide staff in-service training throughout the school year.
