The ML TOSA will help with the implementation of the district's K-12 supplemental resources, provide instructional coaching in classrooms and systems-level support. The ML TOSA will work closely with the ML Coordinator and Teaching and Learning Department in order to assist in the development of procedures and systems that best support students and building needs. Required Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in Education, English as a Second Language or a related field. * Licensed in English as a Second Language * Minimum of five years of directly related teaching experience * Experience and knowledge of curriculum, instruction and assessment for Multilingual Learners * Experience with curriculum development and implementation, including online platforms such as Schoology, Seesaw, etc. * Willingness to work with and instructionally coach all ML teachers across ISD 622 * Experience and knowledge in literacy, math and behavior interventions for Multilingual Learners * Knowledge of educational philosophy, teaching methods and approaches and current researched best practices and strategies * Experience with preparing and presenting information to diverse groups, including making presentations in front of staff and parents * Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written * Strong intercultural competence * Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a diverse community, district staff members, parents and the public * Ability to provide Professional Development to meet the needs of ISD 622 adult learners * Ability to promote and follow District and school policies and procedures Desired Qualifications: * Minnesota Administrative license * Understanding of Multilingual Learner Program funding * Bilingual in a language, preferably one or more of the following: Spanish, Hmong or Somali * Considerable knowledge of student assessment processes for Multilingual Learners * Experience with preparing and presenting information to groups * Understanding of immigrant/refugee needs The duties of this position may change from time to time.
